| DESCRIPTION | The Frauenfelder and Lott families settled in Gadsden and southern Yuma County in the early 1900s. The Frauenfelder came in 1920 and the Lotts in 1912. They describe growing up along the border with Mexico, and how they worked in the fields and packing sheds along highway 95. Mr. Frauenfelder recounts the story of the arrest of Cocopah elder Joe San Diego for crossing the border illegally. |
