| DESCRIPTION | Guillermo Lizarraga was born in Pitiquito, Sonora, Mexico. He moved with his family to San Luis Rio Colorado in 1949 and began crossing the border to work in San Luis, Arizona in 1959. Mr. Lizarraga talks about the hard life of a migrant farm worker and what San Luis, Arizona used to be like before it was developed. He reminisces about meeting Cesar Chavez during a citrus worker strike and about the conditions of the government-run work camps before the start of the United Farm Workers movement. |
