| DESCRIPTION | Ruth Glass was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1920. As a young mother Ms. Glass moved to Tucson, Arizona for the benefit of her youngest son, who suffered from a debilitating asthma. This interview chronicles her life in Arizona. After years as an employee at Sabino High School, she left her job to work at a co-op in Tucson, where she worked until retirement. As a retiree, Ms. Glass has maintained an active lifestyle, participating in hiking, rafting and other outdoor activities. She is also a committed animal rights activist, donating her time to various animal welfare charities. |
