| DESCRIPTION | James C. Haboush is a an artist, a musician, and a writer who came to Phoenix from Los Angeles in 1986. Mr. Haboush has a mental illness and uses his interview to talk about the situation of the homeless and mentally ill in Phoenix, their interactions with the Arizona government, and their place as outsiders in American society in general. Mr. Haboush talks about his time in Phoenix, working through various jobs with the limitations that being mentally ill can impose upon him. He also discusses his art and photography, a major part of his life. |
