| DESCRIPTION | Mike Yourgules and Guillermo “Memo” Matus are longtime residents of Patagonia. Both men grew up in the area, and have held various jobs throughout the region. In this interview, the two men talk about growing up and working in Santa Cruz County. Mr. Yourgules talks of his time as a rancher along the ranches and towns, some of which no longer exist. Mr. Matus then recalls his experiences as a young man, working as a ranch hand, and then working in the local mine until it closed down. This interview is in both Spanish and English. The Spanish has been italicized. |
