| DESCRIPTION | Salomón R. Baldenegro was a lead organizer in the grassroots Chicano movement on the West Side of Tucson, Arizona during the 1970s. In his interview he discusses the activities of the Mazaria Council and the Centro Chicano in Barrio Hollywood. Mr. Baldenegro talks of trying to get a park and community center in Barrio Hollywood and how it led to a take over of the El Rio Golf Course. |
