| DESCRIPTION | This title contains one or more publications. Reports back to 1992 are available in microfiche through the Congressional Information Service's ASI microfiche library. Note: The Federal Housing Finance Board's FHLB bank system was created by the Federal Home Loan Bank Act of 1932 as a government sponsored enterprise to support mortgage lending and related community investment. It is composed of 12 FHLBanks, more than 8000 member financial institutions, and the System’s fiscal agent, the Office. In 1989, Congress expanded the FHLBank System's public policy mission to include affordable housing and community development lending. The FHLBank of San Francisco regulates banks of Arizona, California, and Nevada. |
