The 1986 Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) legislation requires businesses to report the locations and quantities of chemicals stored on-site to state and local governments in order to help communities prepare to respond to chemical spills and similar emergencies. The program now covers over 650 chemicals. More information about the program and additional data for Arizona and other states can be found at http://www.epa.gov/tri/triprogram/whatis.htm. |
