Full Text	1 Perspectives of the Past Oral History Project: William Casey McNerney Elizabeth Soltero: Alright are you ready, Casey? Ok. Alright, today is Wednesday, June 8th, 2011 and I'm interviewing William Casey McNerney and my name is Elizabeth Soltero. So Casey, can you tell us where you were born? And when? Casey McNerney: I was born in St. James, Missouri. In Nineteen eleven ES: Nineteen eleven. So what brought you to this area, what brought you to Tucson? CM: Ah... Dennis McNerney (Casey’s Son): What brought you to this, area out here? ES: Do you remember um, what, what, why your family came? CM: Oh, ah, it was my wife. My wife was asthmatic. ES: Mmhm. CM: And uh, the doctors said that she wasn't gunna live uh, another year back there it’ll kill her. So we decided to...well he told us, to get her into a more, uh dry climate. And so that's, that's why we're here. We were uh, in a little hotel up in Wilcox and uh…and decided that…decided that to find a-a place in Arizona for us. And so I-I
