Field Crops
Cotton planting is 15 percent complete, 9 percentage points behind last year and 2 percentage points behind the 5-year average. Alfalfa condition varies from fair to excellent, depending on location. Harvesting is active in many areas of the State. Range and pasture condition varies from very poor to good, depending on location. Most areas are in fair to good condition.
Arizona Vegetables, Fruit & Specialty Crops
This week Central Arizona growers shipped cabbage, cilantro, kale, and parsley.
Western Arizona growers shipped arugula, bok choy, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, Chinese cabbage, cilantro, endive, escarole, frisee, kale, Boston, green leaf, iceberg, red leaf, romaine lettuce, parsley, radicchio, and spinach.

Weather Summary
Temperatures were above normal across the State for the week ending April 3rd, ranging from 6 degrees above normal at Canyon De Chelly, to 13 degrees above normal at Prescott. The highest temperature of the week was 101 degrees at Yuma. The lowest reading was 19 degrees at Grand Canyon. There was no precipitation recorded in any of the 22 weather stations. All of the weather stations across the State except Kingman have below normal precipitation to date.United States Department of Agriculture
