DESCRIPTION	This title contains one or more publications. The Southwestern Low-level Radioactive Waste Commission is composed of one Commission member and one alternate member from the states of Arizona, North Dakota and South Dakota. California, as the host state, is authorized four Commission members and four alternates as authorized by the Southwestern Low-level Radioactive Waste Disposal Compact Consent Act. The Copmmission is a regional governmental agency authorized by various Federal and State public laws. Created by Public Law 100-712 in 1988, its key duties include controlling the importation and exportation of low-level waste into and out of the regions.
