JCCR MEETING
At its October 4, 2012 meeting, the Joint
Committee on Capital Review considered the
following issues:
Arizona Department of Administration –
Review of Remaining FY 2013 Building
Renewal Allocation Plan – The Committee
gave a favorable review of the Department of
Administration’s plan for $6.5 million in
remaining building renewal projects. At its
June 26, 2012 meeting, the Committee gave a
favorable review of safety-related building
renewal projects, but required additional
information on Job Order Contracting prior to
review of the remaining projects.
Arizona Department of Administration –
Review and Consider Approval of Bond
Refinancing – The Committee gave a favorable
review and approved of the Department of
Administration’s proposal to refinance $62
million in outstanding principal obligations for
3 bond issuances.
Arizona Department of Administration –
Consider Recommending FY 2013 Rent
Exemptions – The Committee recommended
rent exemptions totaling $42,100 for the
Department of Administration and the
Department of Education with corresponding
rent increases for the Department of Economic
Security and the Department of Health
Services.
Arizona Corporation Commission – Review
of FY 2013 Tenant Improvements – The
Committee gave a favorable review of the
Corporation Commission’s plan to spend
$351,100 for a tenant improvement project.
State Lottery Commission – Review of FY
2013 Building Renewal Allocation Plan – The
Committee gave a favorable review of the
Commission’s FY 2013 Building Renewal
Allocation plan, which would be funded with
$85,200 from the State Lottery Fund.
Arizona State University – Review of 4 Bond
Projects – The Committee gave a favorable
review of $59.9 million in bond issuances for 4
projects. The total amount includes $35.2
million for a multi-use classroom at the Tempe
Campus.
