Arizona Heritage Research Foundation (AHRF), a Payson-based historic research group incorporated in 2005, has expanded its work to include the preservation of historic buildings. Our Mission is to promote, educate, and preserve the history, culture, and genealogy of the people of Arizona, especially in the area of Payson, Arizona and surrounding communities.

Founders of AHRF, Jinx Pyle and Jayne Peace Pyle, are Payson’s Official Town Historians and were inducted into the “Arizona Culture Keepers” Hall of Fame in 2005. With their history steeped in Payson’s past we feel very grounded with a sense of purpose in trying to preserve family histories and old home sites. Since 2005 AHRF has amassed a library of old photos, stories, genealogies, maps and books pertaining to Payson, surrounding areas and indeed, to all of Arizona.
