Tucson High Magnet School exists to provide high quality instruction in all curricular areas; foster understanding of the world through the arts, sciences, mathematics and humanities; and develop good citizens so that students demonstrate academic and intercultural proficiency as well as career preparedness.

Tucson High is the oldest operating public high school in the state of Arizona and also TUSD's first magnet high school. THMS obtained its magnet status in 1982 and boasts four areas of specialized study in: Visual and Performing Arts, Science, Mathematics and Technology. In addition our unique location enables students to take advantage of programs at the University of Arizona, Pima Community College, and the Downtown Arts District.

THMS maintains award winning programs in band and jazz ensembles; vocal music; orchestra; mariachi; guitar; musical theater; folklorico; piano lab; film acting; studio photography; commercial arts, and steel drums. We also offer several sections of Honors classes in Mathematics that include Algebra, Geometry, Pre Calculus and Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry as well as Advanced Placement in Calculus AB, Calculus BC, and AP Statistics. Science includes: Research Methods, Planetary Science, Earth and Space Science, Advanced Marine Biology, Oceanography, Conceptual Physics, Bio Medical Health, Physics of Music and Sound, Biology/Plant Science, Anatomy & Physiology, AP courses in Chemistry, Physics B, and Environmental Science.

The Badger Foundation strives to perpetuate the traditions and history of Tucson High School, to promote the educational and cultural activities of the students and alumni, and to encourage and support Tucson High students to graduate.  The Foundation provides financial support to deserving students for academic and extra-curricular activities.

Come and experience the excellence, tradition, and diversity our campus has to offer!
