Federal publications are printed by the authority of Congress or by executive or judicial agencies at taxpayer expense and are distributed to federal agencies, their clientele and to depository libraries which serve the public. The Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records' State Library of Arizona is the Regional Federal Depository Library for Arizona designated to receive U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) publications distributed through the Federal Depository Library Program. This collection includes notable statistics, research, and reports issued by the GPO on all aspects of the state as well as federal "fugitive documents" featuring Arizona. Ultimately, the Arizona-Related Federal Publications collection will be a comprehensive resource for publications relating to Arizona and her people issued in digital form by the federal government.
