Arizona Women's Hall of Fame
Honoring the State's Remarkable Women
Throughout Arizona's history, women have been instrumental in creating community institutions, teaching in schools, organizing museums, and working in government. The Arizona Women's Hall of Fame celebrates those who made contributions in these areas and many others, such as the arts, health care, social services and ranching. It recognizes women from all ethnic and racial groups who helped to build the state.
Members of the Arizona Quilters' Guild and Phoenix Quilters' Association created these quilts to honor the women inducted into the Arizona Women's Hall of Fame. This program began in 1981 and continues into the twenty-first century, providing a means to gather information about Arizona women and their history for future generations, while at the same time celebrating their lives.
