Because the following Executive Orders were not published in the weekly edition of the Arizona Administrative Register upon submission to the O ffice of the Secretary of State, they have been included in this publication to comply with the Administrative Procedure Act.
EXECUTIVE ORDERS, PROCLAMATIONS OF GENERAL APPLICABILITY, AND STATEMENTS ISSUED BY THE GOVERNOR PURSUANT TO A.R.S. ? 41-1013(B)(3)
The Administrative Procedure Act requires the text of all Executive Orders and Proclamations of General Applicability issued by the Governor to be published in the Arizona Adm inistrative Register. In addition, the Register shall include each statement filed by the Governor in granting a commutation, pardon or reprieve, or stay or suspension of execution where a sentence of death is imposed. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation of these orders has been reproduced as submitted. EXECUTIVE ORD ER 2001-15 EXCHANGE OF CRIMINAL HISTORY INFORM ATION INTERSTATE COMPACT WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the State of Arizona to facilitate the exchange of criminal history record information for non-criminal justice purposes between the State of A rizona and other states and the federal government; and WHEREAS, the A rizona Department of Public Safety maintains a Central State Repository pursuant to A.R.S. ? 41-1750 for the purpose of procuring and maintaining information concerning arrests and convictions of persons for public offenses in A rizona; and WHEREAS, the Arizona Department of Public Safety is authorized pursuant to A.R.S. ? 41-1750 to release criminal history record information for non-criminal justice purposes to agencies of other states and the federal government; and WHEREAS, the National Crime Prevention and Privacy Compact creates a legal framework for the cooperative exchange of criminal history records for non-criminal justice purposes between states and the federal government; and WHEREAS, ratification of the National Crime Prevention and Privacy Compact by the State of Arizona would allow facilitation of interstate and federal-state exchange of criminal history record information for non-criminal justice purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, I, Jane Dee Hull, Governor of the State of Arizona, hereby ratify the National Crime Prevention and Privacy Compact and under authority provided by A.R.S. ? 41-1750 hereby authorize the Arizona Department of Public Safety to exchange criminal history record information for non-criminal justice purposes with the federal government and other states in accordance with other state's laws pursuant to the provisions of the National Crime Prevention and Privacy Act.
