Glendale Community College Main Campus
Primary Considerations for Planning
• Service area growth for GCC North is rapid--projected
to approach 440,000 residents by
2010 and 722,882 by 2020; enrollment is
expected to increase to 7,950 students
annually by 2014.
• Master planning emphasizes strengthening
signature educational programs: general
education/transfer courses, Administration of
Justice Studies, CAD, Computer Graphics,
Cisco Technology, Fire Sciences and General
Business programs.
• Student Services will be improved through the
addition of on-site advisement, enrollment
services, learning center, library, bookstore,
fitness/wellness and food service facilities.
• Collaboration and co-use of Deer Valley Unified
School District facilities will continue for the
foreseeable future.
• Where possible, additional workspace for
adjunct faculty should be incorporated.
