STUDENT FINANCIAL AID - Public Law 94-482 contains a provision whereby each
Student Financial Aid (SFA) recipient is required to maintain "Normal Progress".
This means there is an established relationship between the level of SFA received
(awarded) and the number of credit hours completed. That relationship has been
defined by MCCCD SFA Officers as follows:
Funding Level
100% of need

50% of need
Credit Hours Required
12 or more hours
9 - 11 hours

Students who fail to achieve "Normal Progress" will no longer be eligible for
SFA until the deficiency is removed. If the student feels that his/her

to the G.C.C. Standards and Admiss10ns Committee.
