STUDENT PARKING: All students coming North on 59 Avenue or from the East on Olive Avenue
are requested to park in the NORTH PARKING LOT. Those students coming from the West on Olive
should park in the SOUTH LOT.
STUDENT BULLETIN: News articles for the Student Bulletin are due Friday at 9 a.m. Student
Bulletins are issued weekly on Monday. Articles must be submitted in writing to Dean Butler's
Office, 50-4.
FROSH CLASS PETITIONS: Petitions for Frosh class elections will be available at 9 a.m.
Monday, September 23. Anyone wishing to run for frosh class officer should pick up a petition
in 50-1 during that week. Petitions are due Friday, September 27 at noon. For further
information check with the Dean of Students.

FLAG FOOTBALL: Deadline for flag football teams is September 27. Information and entry
blanks may be obtained in room 9, P.E. Building. Get a team together and join the fun!
INTRAMURAL BASEBALL (Fall Baseball): All prospective baseball players and students wishing to
participate in the Intramural Baseball program should sign-up in P.E. Office 9 with Coach
Bloss or Coach Boetto Before October 4. Regular league play will begin the week of Oct. 7.

Craft, Horizons gave recognition to the craftsmen and to Glendale Community College.
CHANGE OF ENTRANCE TO LANGUAGE LAB IN IMC, ROOM L-12: Hereafter please use the front entrance
of the IMC to gain access to the Language Lab. The north entrance through AV will no longer
be available because of remodeling plans to enlarge the AV office. 'Foreign Language teachers
are requested to advise their classes of this change.

ELIZABETHAN CONSORT TROUBADORS: The Elizabethan Consort of Viols from London will give a
concert i!ovember 3 at 3 p.m. in the Student Center Lounge. Consisting of five viols, a
lute, and a tenor soloist, the internationally famous group will play music of the
Elizabethan period. This is the second program of the Artists" Series sponsored by the
Continuing Education Associated Students. Admission is free.

United States and some foreign countries are available in the Reference stacks of the IMC.
These directories are helpful in planning vacations, meetings, and locating services in

CIVIL SEFNICE TESTS: Placement office announced today that Civil Service Examinations
ate now open to fill temporary federal jobs during the summer of 1969. The Civil Service
Commission predicts keen competition for them. A single test will be given for both postal
and other Civil Service jobs) and it will be given four times. Those who apply by November
6 will be tested December 7; by December 6 on January 11; by January 3 on February 8) and

A new feature has been added to the course. A student will appear with the other Participants
weekly to listen to the discussion and then ask a question •. Students will be chosen from
various departments in the college. We want the pub,lic to begin to realize how interested
our students are to learn about community problems and participate in their solution. As
a result of last seniest~r"~ program on the Urban League, our Student Government voted to
give the Urban League 5 reams of paper for mimeographing, and some of our students will be
vQ~unteering their services in assisting with the Slip Program (Skills Level Improvement
Program) of the Urban Leagueirt Phoenix. John Donna, President of the Sophomore Class
