About Glendale Community College
Glendale Community College is fully accredited by the North Central Association as a unit of the
Maricopa Community College District. It is a state/county supported community college governed by the MCCD Board of Directors. University parallel and semi-professional curriculums are offered. Classses are scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 9:40 p.m. weekdays. A full summer program is available.

About The Program
Glendale Commuity College offers a two-year curriculum leading to an Associate of Applied Science Degree with specialization as a Library Technician.
The program is designed for persons who wish to enter the field of library work at the level below the five-year professionaL
The library technician program consists of a structured balance of general education courses, of courses from related disciplines and of library science courses which prepare the graduate for paraprofessional responsibilities in library work.
The Library Technician
Assists the professional librarian and, in certain instances, supervises the non-professional staff. He/she works with people, books, audio-visual materials and general office procedures.
