Glen Canyon Dam and Powerhouse, Ariz. This key structure on the upper Colorado River is 580 ft. above the river level and created 186 mile-long Lake Powell. The Diversion Tunnel and 4 Butterfly Valves discharge water for testing purposes only. Glen Canyon Bridge, highest steel Arch in the world, is 700 ft. above the river.
