Regular Meeting, Feb. 8, 1927.
The Regular monthly meeting of The Pima County Medical Society was held at the Old Pueblo Club, Tucson, Ariz., 8:30 P.M., Feb. 8, 1927, President Dr. C.E. Patterson, presiding, 29 members and 6 visitors present. The reading of the minutes of the preceding meeting was passed until after the Scientific Program. Dr. Meade Clyne was Chairman of the Program which was presented as follows:

The President then introduced Dr. Franklin Martin of Chicago, Director-General of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Martin spoke most entertainingly in regard to general subjects of interest to the medical profession and especially in regard to legislation in this State and elsewhere for better medical practice acts, along the line of a model "Basic Science act" prepared by the American Medical Association. In this connection it was moved by Dr. I.E. Huffman, duly seconded and carried that the Pima County Medical Society go on record in favor of Senate Bill No. 64 now pending be- the Legislature of the State of Arizona. In this connection a telegram was read from Dr. D.F. Harbridge, Sec'y. of the Arizona State Medical Association soliciting endorsement and financial aid in the endeavor to pass this Senate Bill No. 64 (Basic Science Act) at the present session of the Legislature. It was moved by Dr. P.B. Newcomb, duly seconded and carried by vote that the Society make a donation for this purpose of $5.00 per member or $180 for 36 members and the Sec'y.-Treasurer be empowered to send a check for this amount at once to Dr. Harbridge in response to his appeal. It was stated in this connection by Dr. C.A. Thomas that he believed all the Senators and Representatives from Pima County were in favor of this bill with exception of Thomas H. Donnely. It was moved by Dr. Davis, seconded by Dr. Schnabel and carried that each member of the Society immediately write or telegraph all the Pima County Senators and Representatives (names being given as follows Hons.
