February 21, 1928.
The meeting was called to order at 8:30 P.M. by Dr. Norris. Roll-call members present: Drs. Allen, Balderrey, Callender [ Callander ], Cate [ Cates ], Davidson, Gotthelf, Ide, Mahoney, Norris, Peterson, Purcell, Perkins, Starr, Townsend, Van Horn, and Kirmse.
The applications of Doctors Wm. M. Schultz, R.A. Davidson [ Davison ], C.E. DuVall and G.B. Madsen were read. On motion of Dr. Mahoney, seconded by Dr. Townsend, the applicants were elected to membership.
A petition requesting the abolishment of evening office hours except by appointment, and signed by all members was read. A motion was made by Dr. Clyne seconded by Dr. Gotthelf, that the Society go on record as being in favor of closing the offices at night. Motion was carried.
Dr. Cates suggested that the Society take action on recent editorial in A.M.A. and moved that the Society being willing, the officers take necessary action, by letters to senators and state representatives. Seconded by Dr. Callander. Motion carried.
Dr. Van Horn suggested that the secretary write urging passage of Tyson-Fitzgerald Bill. Seconded by Dr. Townsend. Motion carried.
It was decided that letters be sent to the newly elected members notifying them of their acceptance of membership.
