Regular Meeting, Dec. 14, 1926.
The Regular Meeting of the Pima County Medical Society was held Dec. 14 1926 at U.S. Veterans' Hospital, Tucson, Arizona, upon invitation of The Medical Officer In Charge, Dr. W.D. McFaul, and the Staff. The President, Dr. C.S. Kibler presided. 21 members & 9 visitors present. Minutes of the preceding meetings in October were read and approved. The Scientific Program was presented by the Staff of The U.S. Veteran's Hospital, as follows:
Dr. J.L. Arntzen: - Pneumoconiosis. With case history and X-Ray
Discussed by Drs. Cates, Watson, and Kibler.
Dr. C.A. Anderson: - Demonstration of the Pulse And Temperature Rates In
Chronic Pulmonary Tuberculosis.
Discussed by Drs. Mahoney, Watson and Kibler.
Bill presented from the Old Pueblo Club for two meetings in October. Moved by Dr. Gore, seconded by Dr. Whitmore that the bill be paid. A letter was read from the Health center requesting that the Society appoint a representative. Moved by Dr. Davis, seconded by Dr. Mahoney that Dr. C.W. Mills be appointed. Motion carried. A communication was read from the Tucson Chamber of Commerce, submitting a list of names from whom the Society was asked to choose three persons to be nominees representing the Medical Group on the Board of Directors (one to be elected) of the Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Clyne nominated Dr. Hicks, "Dr." Rockefeller and "Dr." Shaffer. Moved by Dr. Watson, seconded by Dr. Thomas that the name of Dr. Lackner be substituted for that of Dr. Hicks. Dr. Davis nominated Dr. Meade Clyne. Discussion by Drs. Van Horn and Norris and Davis. Moved by Dr. Cates, seconded by Dr. Townsend that the nominations be closed. Carried. Dr. Clyne withdraws his name. Moved by Dr. Norris, seconded by Dr. Watson to reconsider the closure of nominations. Motion carried. Dr. S.C. Davis nominated by Dr. Watson; Dr. T.H. Cates by Dr. Gore; Dr. I.E. Huffman by Dr. Mahoney. Drs. Cates and Huffman withdraw. Dr. S.H. Watson nominated by Dr. Davis; Dr. E.J. Gotthelf by Dr. Gore; Dr. J.I. Butler by Dr. Huffman. Upon motion of Dr. Watson, duly seconded and carried the nominations were closed and the secretary was instructed to send the names
