Regular Meeting
December 12, 1939.
The December meeting of Pima County Medical Society was called to order in the County Hospital at 8 o'clock P.M. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved without correction.
Dr. Thomas reported that Pima County Medical Society's invitation to Southwestern Medical Association to have its annual meeting in Tucson has been accepted.
Dr. Smith submitted a blank roster for signatures to be presented to the Sunshine Climate Club.
Drs. Holbrook and Watson talked on The Achilles Heel of American Medicine. Discussion by Dr. Colber of Phoenix.
Dr. Littlefield brought up the subject of meeting places for the Society, and was appointed chairman of a committee to make inquiry and report, after making a motion seconded by Dr. Presson that the meetings be held down town.
The report of the final election of officers was read by Dr. Presson, chairman of the Election Board:

President elected, Dr. Kohl was escorted to the chair to begin his year's work by umpiring the discussion over Dr. Smith's resignation from the County Hospital Board of Control. A motion by Dr. Presson, seconded by Dr. Holbrook, and passed resulted in acceptance of Dr. Smith's resignation and appointment of Dr. Hastings, next high man.
A paper, "Injection Treatment for Hernia", was presented by Dr. Ralph Palmer of Phoenix. Meeting adjourned.
