Dr. Littlefield gave a report of the Medical Economics Committee.
Dr. Hugh Thompson motioned, Dr. Littlefield seconded, that the Board of Medical Examiners be asked to change their ruling so that resident Medical Staff of St. Mary's Hospital and Pima County Hospital be regarded as internes [ interns ]. Carried.
Dr. Presson motioned, and Dr. Holbrook seconded motion, that the Society as a whole have no office hours on Saturday afternoons throughout the year. Carried.
Dr. Biddle motioned, seconded by Dr. Littlefield, that Pima County Medical Society endorse Arizona Dental Society's Referendum Proposition 300 to amend the State Constitution. Discussion. Carried.
Motion by Dr. Mikell, seconded by Dr. Littlefield, that Dr. Presson's motion concerning office hours be reconsidered at next meeting. Carried.
Motion by Dr. Littlefield, seconded by Dr. Watson, that By-Laws be suspended in order that a secretary may be elected to fill vacancy left by Dr. Kirmse. Carried. Dr. Donald F. Hill was nominated by Dr. Patterson. Motion by Dr. Littlefield that nominations be closed, seconded by Dr. Patterson. Carried. Dr. Hill elected.
The scientific program consisted of a lantern slide demonstration of "Malocclusion" by Dr. C.H. Tweed and a movie showing pre-operative and post-operative views of cleft-palate and hare-lip by Dr. Paul Bennett.
