Regular December Meeting
December 10th, 1940.
The regular December meeting was held in the Varsity Room of the Pioneer Hotel at eight o'clock, Tuesday night, December 10th. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Dr. Kohl appointed Dr. James, Dr. Davis and Dr. Linton to count the election ballots.
Dr. D.F. Hill, Secretary-Treasurer, gave a report prepared by Mr. C.T.R. Bates, certified public accountant, who audited the Society's Books. Dr. Thompson moved, and Dr. Hastings seconded the motion, that a Committee be appointed to audit the Society's books annually. Motion passed. Dr. Hill moved, and Dr. Hastings seconded motion, that balance of Convention Funds be transferred to the General Fund. Motion passed. Dr. Secrist moved, and Dr. Thomas seconded motion, that the Secretary's report be accepted. Motion passed.
It was moved by Dr. Gore, and seconded by Dr. Hastings, that following bills incurred during the Southwestern Medical Association Convention and the bill from Mr. C.T.R. Bates, public accountant, be paid. Motion passed.

Dr. Carrell moved, and Dr. Secrist seconded the motion, that an Executive Committee be appointed composed of the President, Vice-President and Secretary-Treasurer. Motion passed. Dr. Littlefield moved and Dr. H.E. Thompson seconded the motion, that the duties of the Executive Committee be those of any other Executive Committee, as taking care of urgent business of the Society when it is not feasible to call a meeting of the Society. Motion passed.
Doctors Carrell, Littlefield and Omer discussed the question of membership for those called to military service. Dr. Van Horn moved, and Dr. Hastings seconded the motion, that honorary membership be extended to all those members called to military duty. Motion passed.
