BY-LAWS OF PIMA COUNTY MEDICAL SOCIETY
CHAPTER I--OFFICERS
Section 1. The officers of this Society shall consist of a President, a Vice-President, a Secretary-Treasurer, all of whom shall be elected annually for one year; and a Board of Directors, (which shall include Delegates to Arizona Medical Association), a Board of Censors, and Medical Advisory Board for Pima County General Hospital, all of whom shall be elected and for terms as set forth below. Delegates shall be elected in number in accordance with the Constitution and By-Laws of Arizona Medical Association. An equal number of alternate delegates shall be elected annually for one year terms.
The Board of Censors shall consist of three members, one member to be elected each year to serve for three years.
The Medical Advisory Board for Pima County General Hospital shall be elected as set forth in Section 9 below.
The Board of Directors shall consist of (A) the officers of the Society in their corresponding capacities as Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Secretary-Treasurer of the Corporation, (B) the delegates to the Arizona Medical Association from this Society, and (C) the members of this Society who are also members of the Council of Arizona Medical Association.
At the first regular meeting following the adoption of these by-laws three Delegates shall be elected for the balance of the year and the three succeeding years, three shall be elected for the balance of the year and the two succeeding years, and three shall be elected for the balance of the year and the succeeding year. Thereafter the delegates shall be elected on the basis of one-third the number of delegates permitted by Arizona Medical Association for terms of three years each, and any lesser fraction thereof shall be elected for a one year term only. Should a delegate be elevated to membership in the Council, the vacancy in the Board shall be filled by election from the list of alternate delegates at the next regular meeting for the term of that vacancy from the Board of Directors. No delegate shall succeed himself by election until a lapse of three years.
Section 2. Elections: The annual election of officers for this Society and Corporation shall be held on the second Tuesday in December of each year. Two weeks prior to the November meeting, ballots will be distributed by mail to the
