of the Board of Directors at his discretion. Seven members shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.
Section 9. Medical Advisory Board: The Medical Advisory Board for Pima County General Hospital shall consist of eight members of the Pima County Medical Society, two of whom shall be elected annually to serve for a period of four years; one member of the Tucson District Dental Society, who shall be elected by that body; and the President of the Pima County Medical Society.
The Medical Advisory Board shall act as a coordinating group between the Society and the administration of Pima County General Hospital and shall represent the Society in all hospital medical matters in the interests of the patients and good medical practice. They shall meet at the hospital and elect their officers the fourth Tuesday in December annually and shall function as provided in the constitution and by-laws of the Hospital.
CHAPTER II--PIMA COUNTY GENERAL HOSPITAL
By agreement with the Board of Supervisors, the care of the indigent sick at the Pima County General Hospital is the responsibility of the Society, and all members of the Society who conform to and meet the requirements of the constitution and by-laws of the Hospital, as formulated and agreed upon by the Society and the Medical Staff of the Hospital, are privileged to attend the indigent sick in the Hospital. It shall be the obligation of the Society to see that its members faithfully attend these indigent sick, promote the Hospital as a teaching center, and promote community health through this medium.
CHAPTER III--COMMITTEES
Section 1. The President shall appoint committees for the Society which are not of an elective nature described above, in accordance with tradition, and may appoint such extra committees as need may occasion.
Section 2. Committees of non-scientific nature shall report to the Board of Directors at a called meeting, and their findings and recommendations shall be reported to the membership if important or desirable. No attempt shall be made by the Board of Directors to withhold or conceal information, but it shall keep to a minimum non-scientific discussions to present to the Society.
