Regular Meeting
November 13, 1951.
The meeting was called to order at 8:10 P.M. by the President, Dr. Royal W. Rudolph.
Motion was made by Dr. Hugh Thompson that reading of the Minutes of previous meetings be dispensed with. Motion seconded by Dr. O.J. Farness, and carried.
Dr. Arthur Grollman, Professor of Experimental Medicine, Southwestern Medical School, Dallas, Texas, spoke on the "Use and Abuse of Drug Therapy in Modern Medicine".
Dr. Milton Goldberger was proposed for Permanent Membership, and Doctors Wesley Street Fee and William Martin Wharton were proposed for Term Membership. The ballots were received and counted by Dr. R.K. Hausmann, as Teller, and all were elected to their respective memberships, as above.
Dr. Royal Rudolph appointed Doctors Hugh C. Thompson, M.A. Carreras, H.D. Welsh, Louis Hirsch, George Frazer and Dennis Bernstein as Tellers to count the nomination ballots for the annual election of officers.
The Secretary read the report of the Housing Committee as contained in the Minutes of the Board of Directors meeting of November 12th, 1951. No discussion followed.
The letter from Dr. J.P. Ward announcing the setting up of the Arizona State Anatomy Board was read by the Secretary. The membership was advised that application forms for requisitioning bodies are available at the Secretary's office.
Letter from the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons was read by the Secretary.
