BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
March 6, 1952

Meeting was called to order at 8:10 P.M., Dr. H.D. Cogswell, President, presiding. Members present were:

It was moved by Dr. Harry E. Thompson that reading of the Minutes be dispensed with. Motion seconded by Dr. Hugh C. Thompson and carried.
Report for the Board of Censors was made by Dr. Hastings, who read a letter from Mr. B.G. Thompson, the Society's Attorney, summarizing his investigation of Dr. Arnold Lieberman's expulsion from the Society. Dr. Hugh C. Thompson moved that the Board of Directors go on record as not wishing to alter its previous action in regard to Dr. Lieberman, with the exception that the time period of expulsion be changed from two years to one year in order to conform with the By-Laws, and that Mr. Thompson be authorized to so notify Mr. Evans, Dr. Lieberman's attorney. Motion was seconded by Dr. Rudolph and carried.
The question of signing a master policy for Sickness and Accident insurance as submitted by Mr. Wisdom of the Continental Casualty Company was discussed. Dr. Hugh C. Thompson moved that the President do as he wishes in this matter. Motion seconded by Dr. Hayden and carried.
A mimeographed letter from Shell & Wilmer setting forth the disapproval of the Arizona Medical Association of House Bill 146 exempting Chiropractors from Basic Science Act was read. Dr. Harry Thompson suggested that individuals make it easier for the Legislative Committee of the Society.
It was moved by Dr. Rudolph that the Arizona Division of the American Cancer Society be permitted to list the telephone number of the Pima County Medical Society under the American Cancer Society heading for the purpose of giving directions and information. Motion seconded by Dr. Hastings and carried.
A letter from the Secretary for the Arizona Medical Association was read, advising of the State Meeting scheduled for April 30th through May 3, and reminding members that all resolution to be presented to the House of Delegates must be typewritten on the special printed Resolution forms, a supply of which is available in the Society office.
A letter from the American College of Surgeons inviting members of the County Society to attend the Sectional Meeting to be held here April 7, 8 and 9 was read. The Secretary was instructed to write Dr. H.P. Saunders offering the services of the Society on this occasion.
