It was mentioned that the osteopaths had donated a room to the YMCA - $2,000.00, and it was suggested that the doctors lump their money and have a room donated. Dr. Harry Thompson felt that it is not necessary to keep up with the osteopaths. Dr. Kent suggested that this would be good public relations. Dr. Hewitt thought it would be a very fine thing if there were a room that the Pima County Medical Society had donated. Dr. Kent remarked that individual doctors and their wives had all donated anyway. Dr. Lewis moved that Dr. Hewitt take care of this. Dr. Kent moved that all donations that the doctors and their wives have made and will make be donated as a lump sum from the Pima County Medical Society. Motion was seconded by Dr. Harry Thompson, with the amendment that this be passed by the County Society at their next meeting. Amendment seconded and carried. Motion carried.
Mr. Harry V. Cameron was present as a guest at this meeting, and the situation concerning Tucson Medical Center was discussed.
