CHAPTER I--OFFICERS
Section 1. The Officers of this society shall be President, a President-elect, a Vice-President, a Secretary-Treasurer, and a Board of Directors. Other elective offices shall be: Delegates and Alternates to Arizona Medical Association; members of the Board of Censors; and members of the Medical Advisory Board for Pima County General Hospital. No candidate shall be eligible to elective office who has not been a member of this Society for the preceding three years, and in the case of the Board of Censors for the preceding five years.
At the annual meeting in December of each year there shall be elected a President-Elect [ "President-Elect" underlined and a handwritten circled "1" in right margin at this point ], a Vice-President, a Secretary-Treasurer; and there shall also be elected Delegates and Alternate Delegates to Arizona Medical Association and members of the Board of Censors and the Medical Advisory Board for Pima County General Hospital as outlined in this and succeeding sections.
The Board of Censors shall consist of three members, one member to be elected each year to serve for three years.
The Medical Advisory Board for Pima County General Hospital shall be elected according to provisions set forth below. (See Section 10).
The Delegates to Arizona Medical Association shall be elected in accordance with the total number permitted by the Constitution and By-Laws of that Association. Each year the Society shall elect one-third of the number permitted for terms of three years each, so as to stagger terms, and any lesser fraction thereof shall be elected for a term of one year only. No Delegate who has served a three term may succeed himself by election until a lapse of three years. Should a Delegate be elevated to membership in the Council of Arizona Medical Association, the Board of Directors of this Society shall be empowered to fill such vacancy created in the number of Delegates for the term of its existence by election from the list of Alternate Delegates.
The Alternate Delegates shall be elected annually for terms of year each, in number equal to the total number of Delegates permitted by Arizona Medical Association.
The Board of Directors of this Society and Corporation shall consist of (A) the Officers of the Society in their corresponding capacities as Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Secretary-Treasurer of the Corporation, (B) the Delegates of this Society to Arizona Medical Association, and (C) the members of this Society who are also members of the Council of Arizona Medical Association.
