REGULAR MEETING
November 9, 1954.
The meeting was held in the North Terrace Porch of the El Conquistador Hotel and was called to Order by the President, Dennis Bernstein, M.D., at 8:20 P.M.
It was moved by Dr. George W. King, seconded by Dr. W.B. Steen, to omit reading of the Minutes of the regular meeting of October 12th. Motion carried.
Minutes of the Board of Directors meeting of October 28, 1954, were read by the Secretary, W.T. Hileman, M.D. There being no corrections or objections, they were approved as read.
The guest speaker, Arthur C. Pattison, M.D., Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Southern California, was introduced by Dr. Howard D. Cogswell. Dr. Pattison's subject was "Portal Hypertension--Surgical Indications" and illustrative slides were shown.
Doctors William L. Goodin and Harold E. Kosanke were appointed by the President to be Tellers for the voting on Membership.

The Ballots having been collected an counted, there were 48 ballots, unanimously electing both members to membership as above stated.
