The total of weeks compensated for all programs ( including Federal
Supplemental Compensation and Shared Work) was 69.924 down 20% from
March. The total of disbursements from the trust fund during the
month was $ 5.989,926, down 19% from March. The total available for

Regular Program:
Initial claims were up 23%. weeks claimed down 9% and weeks comp-
• ensated down 19%. Overall', the number of individual claimants
compensated was down 9% as all industry divisions showed decreases.

more claimants. All other counties showed decreases.
The exhaustion rate ( cumulative total exhaustions for most recent 12
months divided by 12- month total of first pays) was 45.5% as compared
with 48% in March.
The Insured Unemployment Trigger Rate for the last full week of
April ( ending April 28) was 2.07 down .13 from 2.20 at the end of
March •
• Federal Program:
In the Federal Employees Programs, initial claims were down 1%. Weeks
claimed were down 22% and weeks compensated were down 30%. In the
Ex- Servicemen's Program initial claims were down 34% weeks claimed
down 14% and weeks compensated down 25%.
Extended Benefits:
. Initial claims were up from 3 ~ n March to 9 in April. Weeks claimed
were up 12% from 43 to 48 and there were no weeks compensated.
Federal Supplemental Compensation Program:
Initial claims were down 10%. weeks claimed were down 15% and weeks
compensated were down 24% •.
Shared Work Program ( full time equivalents):
Initial claims were up 91% from 11 to 21 while weeks claimed were
down 57% from 1302 to 558 and weeks compensated were down 49% from
782 to 403.

MONTHLY SUMMARY OF CLAIMS AND CLAIMANTS
MARCH 1984 DATA
General:
The total of weeks compensated for all programs ( including Federal
Supplemental Compensation and Shared Work) was 87,562 up 2% from
February. The total of disbursements from the trust fund during the
month was $ 7,405,960, up 4.6% from February. The total available
for benefits at the end of the month was $ 160,999,181 down 4.5% from
February.
Regular Program:
Initial claims were down 12%, weeks claimed down 2% and weeks comp­ensated
up 3%. Overall, the number of individual claimants
compensated was down 1% as all industry divisions showed decreases,
except agriculture up 17% and mining up 53%. On an area basis, six
counties had more claimants. They were Graham, Greenlee, La Paz,
Navajo, Santa Cruz and Yavapai.
The exhaustion rate ( cumulative total exhaustions for most recent 12
months divided by 12- month total of first pays) was 48% as compared
with 50.7% in February.
The Insured Unemployment Trigger Rate for the last full week of
March ( ending March 31) was 2.20 up .01 from 2.19 at the end of
February.
Federal Program:
In the Federal Employees Programs, initial claims were up 14%. Weeks
claimed were down 7% and weeks compensated were up 3%. In the
Ex- Servicemen's Program initial claims were up 17%, weeks claimed
down 18% and weeks compensated down 16%.
Extended Benefits:
~ Initial claims were unchanged from 3 in February to 3 in March. Weeks
claimed were down 19% from 53 to 43 and there were no weeks comp­ensated.
Federal Supplemental Compensation Program:
Initial claims were down 1%, weeks claimed were down 9% and weeks
compensated were down 6%.
Shared Work Program ( full time equivalents):
Initial claims were down 95% from 225 to 11 while weeks claimed were
up 226% from 400 to 1,302 and weeks compensated were up l74%. from
285 to 782.

MONTHLY SUMMARY OF CLAIMS AND CLAJMANTS
DECEMBER 1983 DATA
General:
The total of weeks compensated for all programs ( including Federal
Supplemental Compensation and Shared Work) was 102,480, up 8.5% from
November. The total of disbursements from the trust fund during the
month was $ 7,456,347, up slightly fr, om,. November. The total available
for benefits at the end of the month was $ 165,815,096 down .4Xfrom
November.
Regular Program:
Initial claims were down 4%, weeks clqimed down 6% and weeks com­pensated
up less than 1%. Overall, the, · number of individual claimants
compensated was down 2% as all industry divisions showed decreases,
except contract construction, up 7%, ma: nufa: cturin~ and T, CPU up 3%, and
government, up less than 1%. On an area basis, seven counties had
fewer claimants. They were Graham, La. Paz, r4aricopa, Pima, Santa
Cruz, and Yuma.
The exhaustion rate ( cumulative total exhaustions for most recent 12
months divided by 12- month total of first pays) was ~ 3.7%, as compared
~.
with 54.3% in '~ vember.
The Insured Unemployment Trigger Rate for the last full week of
Decembe r ( end i ng Dece'mbe r 31) as 2.19, dow n • 14 from 2. 33 a t the end 0 f
~ November.
Federal Program:
In the Federal Employees Programs, initial claims were up 29%. Weeks
claimed were up 11% and weeks compensated were up 28%~ In the
Ex- Servicemen's Program initial claims were up 5%, weeks claimed down
2% and weeks compensated up 11% •
Extended Benefits:
Initial claims were up 50% from 2 in November to 3 in December. Weeks
~ claimed were down 46% from 26 to 14 and there were two weeks
compensated.
Federal Supplemental Compensation Program:
Initial claims were down 4%, weeks claimed were up 14% and weeks
compensated were up 40%.
Shared Work Program ( full time equivalents):
Initial claims were up 98% from 50 to 99 while weeks claimed were up
28% and weeks compensated were up 3%.

MONTHLY SUMMARY OF CLAIMS AND CLAIMANTS
NOVEMBER 1983 DATA
General:
The total of weeks compensated for all programs ( including Federal
Supplemental Compensation and Shared Work) was 94,455, up 8.6% from
October. The total of disbursements from the trust fund during the
month was $ 7,439,499, up 6% from October. The total available for
benefits at the end of the month was $ 173,108,109 up 3% from October.
Regular Program:
Initial claims were down 12%, weeks claimed down 3% and weeks com­pensated
up 6% • Overall, '} t, he:; fiumber ofind: ividual claimants
compensated was down 3%,: a~ ail industry divisions showed decreases,
except mining, up 21%, contract construction, up 4% ,' finance,
insurance and real estate'; up 7%, and government, up ' 2%. On an area
basis, seven counties had more claimants. They were Apache, Coconino,
Navajo, La Paz, Gila, Cochise, and Greenlee. Pima was unchanged.
The exhaustion rate ( cumulative total€: Khaustions forrnost recent 12
months divided by 12- month total of first pays) w~ s 54.3%, as compared
wit~ 54.6% in October.
The Insured Unemployment Trig, 9EH Rate for the last full week of
N9vember. ( ending Novemb~ f': 26) as 2.33, down .26 from 2.59 at the end
of ,0c, tobe r •

compensated.
Federal Supplemental Compensation Program:
Initial claims were up 21%, weeks claimed were up 30% and weeks
compensated were up 19%.
Shared Work Program ( full time equivalents):
Initial claims were down 35% from 77 to 50 while weeks claimed were
down 42% and weeks compensated were down 43%.
