DESCRIPTION
Frank Page designed and created this broadside for the "Crafts in Use " exhibit which ran from December 5-19 , 1954 . This exhibit was held in the T . F . A. A.’s Art Center located in the basement of the Tucson Chamber of Commerce and featured outstanding examples of fine design and craftsmanship in fabrics , patio accents , lighting , interior and exterior details , interior furnishings , decorative accessories , and jewelry entered by Tucson craftsmen . The purpose of this exhibit was to make Tucsonans aware of the quality craft work produced in their own city for use in their homes . A main feature of the show was the designing and coordinating in room vignettes designed by six prominent architects and designers living in Tucson . Entries for the show were made in two general classifications , Advanced Craftsmen and Leisure-Time or Student . There were 127 works displayed in the exhibit , with award tags being given out by judges Emily Alexander , Arthur Brown , Annette Gates , and Lloyd Kiva .
