Descriptive
Description
This invitation is for the "11th Annual Tucson Festival Art Show," held from April 3-23, 1961. This exhibit featured 58 works submitted from Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, and Texas. Abstract and semi-abstract paintings dominated the exhibition with the majority of the works displayed originating from California artists. Rip Woods of Phoenix was awarded top prize for his work "Inside." (Edgerly, Beatrice; 11th Festival Art Show Representative of Area, Arizona Daily Star, 4/2/1961)
