In the depressed center of the tray is a circular engraving of mountains and nature scenery labeled as "San Francisco Mountains." Underneath the engraving are the words "U.S.S. Arizona" and the engraving is also framed by three small silver scrolls. The lip of the tray is rimmed by a silver band bordered on the inside edge by a silver twisted rope.
