The inside of the bowl is smooth while the outside is ornate. The front exterior of the bowl features the state seal while the back displays the NAVY emblem. Each symbol is displayed under an eagle and flanked by double swagged flags and cacti. On the other sides are etchings entitled "Hayden Plant" and "San Xavier del Bac Mission Founded 1692 Tucson."
