The inside of the bowl is smooth while the outside is ornate. The front exterior of the bowl features the state seal while the back displays the NAVY emblem. Each symbol is displayed under an eagle and flanked by double swagged flags and cacti. On one side are engravings of a covered wagon and a mule train divided by a scroll and cactus. On the other side are engraved a locomotive and a stagecoach also separated by a scroll and cactus.
