Cooley and Marion Clark, sitting at a table playing cards. An extra seat was provided for anyone wanting to join the game. The statue, sculpted by Dennis Lynn and Chris Christianson of Aspen Design, was unveiled 01-01-2001 at the Festival Marketplace at 1027 Deuce of Clubs. Corydon Cooley and his partner Marion Clark became discontented by 1876. The legend is that a card game called "Seven Up" settled the issue of who would own the ranch outright. As the game wore on through the night, Clark finally told Cooley, "Show Low and you take the ranch." Cooley turned over the deuce of clubs and won a reported 100,000 acres, the cattle, crops and buildings. Marion Clark moved South of Show Low and off into history.
