The Spragge Family Collection is comprised of material from the estates of William J. Spragge and John O. Spragge. These materials had been passed on to them from their father William Jesse Spragge and are now in the hands of third and fourth generation family members. The material in this collection was created and preserved by the members of the Spragge family during the 1940's. They document the conversion of the CCC Camp NM-2-A into the Silver Spur Guest Ranch by William Jesse Spragge, and provide a glimpse into their daily life at the ranch. The Silver Spur Guest Ranch was situated in the Chiricahua National Park, which has a namesake Silver Spur Meadow and Silver Spur Trail.
