He first gives us a brief history of staying with his father there in 1963, and his job as a tour guide and greeter. He shows pictures of the ruin, pottery found, etc., and describes what has been learned about the pre-Apache "ancient ones" who dwelt there as early as 900 to 1300 AD. Then he tells the history of the archaeologist Byron Cummings, who organized digs and worked on the restoration of part of the ruins during the Great Depression in an attempt to ultimately create a tourist destination. Anthony returned to live for many years at Kinishba to run the museum and serve as the caretaker of the crumbling ruins. He tells of the mistakes made in the restoration project and of the financial neglect that ultimately caused the project to fail.
