These oral histories are from the personal collection of Susan Wille. They were digitally recorded as raw material for an audio book entitled A People’s History of Bisbee, published in 2014. Selections from the original recordings were edited, mixed and organized chronologically in the audio book. This collection presents the full version of many of the original recordings, some of which could not be included in the audio book.
The project wraps up with several selections on ranch life, local geology, ecology and natural ranching in Cochise County with Dennis Moroney who practices and sells at local farmers’ markets.
All the oral histories have been edited from the original by the contributor.
Selected chapters from A People’s History of Bisbee, as well as a variety of other oral history projects, can be heard on the contributor’s website www.talkingstick.biz.
