He works mostly on the design phase of the architectural process which utilized his artistic talents. Mr. Jones was born in 1944 in Spokane, Washington and spent his early career there. He talks about some of the project he did in Washington, including a freeway section he designed in the Seattle area. Mr. Jones talks about some of the buildings he has designed in Arizona, including the Library at Mesa Community College, Mesa Arts Center, Appaloosa Library in Scottsdale, White Tank Library and Nature Center, Estrella Community College, and the Polly Rosenbaum Arizona State Archives Building. He also discusses Earth sheltered houses. Mr. Jones has served on the Scottsdale Review Board, been Director of Exhibitions for Arizona Watercolor Associations, and on the Advisory Board for Southwest Shakespeare.
