Often, you will see posters of celebraties, politicians, and other notable figures posing with a book and the READ logo. These posters are meant to encourage reading and literacy. At GCC, we also have a local READ poster movement spearheaded by librarian Ed McKennon. GCC READ posters typically have a two-fold purpose, to promote reading and literacy and to promote various clubs and programs at the college.
