They both remember swimming at Glendale Beach and other swimming holes along the Grand Avenue Canal. Many of the local families would congregate at this man made beach to picnic and visit with each other. They also remember playing games such as, Stick Horse and Spin the Bottle. This oral history is full of wonderful and never heard memories about Glendale’s early history.
