After finishing the remainder of William's term, she ran on her own in 1950 and spent the next 45 years (until 1995) in the House of Representatives.
Her work in the Arizona House of Representatives focused on rural areas of Arizona as well as education, libraries, museums, and historic preservation.
Two state government buildings are named for her. The Polly Rosenbaum Building is home of the Arizona Mining and Mineral Museum.
