Eleven Mile Corner (also written as Eleven-Mile) was once the home of two of the highest producing cotton gins in Arizona. It was named Eleven Mile Corner because it was 11 miles from Casa Grande, Eloy, and Coolidge.The area contained worker housing, the homes of land owners, a tavern, gas station, post office, a migrant school, and a general store. One of the migrant labor camps in the area was known as 11 (Eleven) Mile Corner Migratory Labor Camp, which published the News and the Eleven Mile News newspapers in the early 1940s. Today the area is part of unincorporated Pinal County and the Pinal County Fairgrounds sit on the former site.
